Job Title: Primary Teacher
Location: Sunderland
Salary: £120 – £160 per day (depending on experience)
Start Date: Immediate
Contract Type: Day-to-day / Long Term, Full-time / Part-time

GSL Education are currently recruiting enthusiastic and dedicated Primary Teachers to work in schools across Sunderland.

This rewarding role involves delivering engaging and high-quality lessons to primary-aged students while supporting their academic, social, and emotional development. The successful candidate will create a positive and inclusive learning environment where students feel encouraged, motivated, and supported to reach their full potential.

Responsibilities of a Primary Teacher:

• Plan and deliver engaging lessons in line with the national curriculum
• Support students according to the curriculum and syllabus
• Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment
• Assess, monitor, and track students’ academic progress
• Manage classroom behaviour effectively and encourage positive learning attitudes
• Support students’ social, emotional, and academic development
• Prepare lesson resources and classroom materials
• Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents, and school staff

Requirements of a Primary Teacher:

• Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or equivalent teaching qualification
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Education or a relevant subject
• Previous experience teaching within primary schools is desirable
• Strong classroom and behaviour management skills
• Excellent communication and organisational abilities
• Passion for teaching and supporting young learners
• An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)
