We have an exciting role on offer within our Community Learning Service as a Learning Adviser Youth Guarantee.
About Us
This post is a key function within the Middlesbrough Council’s Community Learning Service. This role encompasses direct support for individuals aged 18 – 21 undertaking work placements as part of the Government’s Youth Guarantee. The post involves helping individual’s overcome barriers and secure employment, education and/or training opportunities.
To be successful in this role you need English and Maths at Level 2 (A – C equivalent) qualification.
You will have a responsibility for:
Support individuals and employers participating in Youth Guarantee Trailblazer work placements.
Provide effective information, advice and guidance to prospective and current participants of the Youth Guarantee Trailblazer scheme.
Responsible for undertaking reviews with all participants and employers, including updating individual career plans and health & safety placement vettings.
Develop effective relationships with employers, training providers and colleges to enable an unbiased approach to effective guidance for individuals.
Support the coordinator with relevant information for completing returns, tracking participant destinations and scheme feedback in a timely manner.
Maintain an up-to-date knowledge of sector skills needs, labour market information, and local economic priorities.
Work alongside Middlesbrough Council’s Employment Hub.
