About the Role
We are now seeking an experienced and driven HSEQ Manager to join our team. This is a key role within our HSEQ department, providing expert advice, support, and leadership across the business. As HSEQ Manager, you will play a pivotal role in embedding and improving health, safety, environmental and quality standards across the organisation. You will support the maintenance and continual improvement of our Integrated Management System (IMS) covering ISO9001, ISO14001 and ISO45001, ensuring compliance, engagement, and best practice throughout Gaeltec Utilities UK Ltd. You will work closely with managers, supervisors, and colleagues at all levels, promoting a positive safety culture, delivering assurance, and driving continuous improvement across a diverse and dynamic risk landscape.
Duties & Responsibilities
* Lead the delivery of HSEQ initiatives across the business to raise operational standards and ensure compliance.
* Carry out audits, inspections, and risk assessments, ensuring corrective and preventative actions are implemented effectively.
* Support ISO9001 / ISO14001 / ISO45001 audits and external audit processes.
* Develop and deliver training, coaching, and mentoring to operational teams.
* Produce and review risk assessments, RAMS, construction phase plans, and safety documentation.
* Lead or support accident and incident investigations using root cause analysis.
* Provide assurance to managers, escalating risks and ensuring compliance with legal, regulatory and contractual obligations.
* Deliver regular reports and presentations to the Strategic Lead for H&S and operational teams.
Requirements
* Experience in a full-time HSEQ role.
* In-depth knowledge of ISO45001, ISO14001 and ISO9001.
* Strong auditing experience (qualified or demonstrable).
* Proven experience in the utilities, construction, or electrical sectors.
* Experience producing HS&E documentation and risk management processes.
* Excellent communication, coaching, and report-writing skills.
* Competent IT skills (Microsoft Office).
* Valid driving licence.
Qualifications
* NEBOSH General Certificate (essential).
* NEBOSH Construction Certificate, Level 5/6 H&S qualification (desirable).
* Grad IOSH / CMIOSH (desirable).
* CDM, Fire Safety, or Asbestos Management qualifications (desirable).
