Job Overview
The Pharmacy Department at The Royal Orthopaedic Hospital are seeking to recruit a Pharmacy Technician to support our dispensary & stores team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring we supply and dispense medicines safely, effectively and efficiently.
Key Responsibilities
* Dispensing a wide range of prescription types methodically, accurately and efficiently.
* Supporting the ordering, receiving and invoicing of pharmacy stock.
* Ensuring stock is maintained in line with manufacturers guidance, including temperature monitoring, good stock rotation and expiry date checking.
* Supporting the training and development of all staff members with regards to dispensary related activities.
* Supporting the Senior Pharmacy Technician for Dispensary through leading and co‑ordinating dispensary workflow.
* Ensuring service users receive information regarding their medicines.
* Reception duties such as answering the hatch and receiving and triaging phone‑calls within the dispensary.
Qualifications & Experience
* Registered as a Pharmacy Technician with the GPhC or currently completing training as a Trainee Pharmacy Technician and registered with the GPhC within the next 3 months.
* Strong team player with excellent time management, interpersonal, and organisational skills.
* Strong attention to detail and excellent communicator.
* Ability to work well under pressure.
