The Vascular Science Unit is an inclusive and supportive patient facing ultrasound service and has a great opportunity for you to learn while you work, initially as a Band 4 Vascular Associate Practitioner, to get you ready to start the Level 6 (Band 5) Healthcare Science Practitioner apprenticeship (BSc) in Vascular Science.

Working directly with patients and under supervision, perform vascular ultrasound assessments. These tests will include ankle-brachial pressure index (ABPI) and toe-brachial index (TBI) assessment, and ultrasound duplex scans for Abdominal Aortic Aneurysm (AAA), carotid artery disease and lower limb deep vein thrombosis (DVT).
Develop the skills and knowledge needed to start the Healthcare Science Practitioner apprenticeship in September 2026.
