Role Overview
We seek a 2D creative designer to join our vibrant team, producing designs that communicate our clients' brand voice through storytelling and unique concepts. You will contribute to all design phases, from brief taking and research to creation, with experience in agency environments.
You will thrive on producing impactful designs within deadlines, interrogating briefs, and paying close attention to detail. Knowledge of how 2D designs come to life across digital and offline formats—such as social media, events, exhibitions, print, and large format—is essential. Collaboration is key: working with our creative and events teams, briefing freelancers, and collaborating with creative leads on art direction.
Responsibilities
Creative Design
* Participate in the full event design process: research, ideation, development, and artworking for live events, pitches, and internal projects.
* Respond to briefs with creative concepts using mood boards, AI tools, sketches, and art direction.
* Develop designs considering customer and visitor journeys, messaging hierarchy, wayfinding, and basic UX principles.
* Understand the importance of space, engagement, and timing in experiential design.
* Use Photoshop to enhance renders or site photos, adding elements like graphics, lighting, and people.
* Explore new materials and techniques, emphasizing sustainability, especially in print processes.
* Create innovative, fun, and high-quality designs that push boundaries within brand guidelines.
* Ensure all work meets quality standards, deadlines, and budgets, representing Sleek professionally.
General
* Follow creative processes while suggesting improvements.
* Consistently deliver proud, high-standard work.
* Keep project documentation organized and up-to-date.
* Manage workload effectively across multiple projects, maintaining standards and timelines.
* Build strong team relationships through clear communication and collaboration, explaining concepts to non-designers.
* Perform other duties as required within your skill set.
Requirements
* Experience in an agency environment.
* Proficiency with Adobe Creative Cloud Suite and knowledge of AI design tools.
* Optional but advantageous: basic skills in After Effects and SketchUp.
* Ability to design for various applications: digital, print, physical venues.
* Enthusiasm and willingness to learn.
* Attention to detail, commercial awareness.
* Self-motivated, organized, capable of briefing and managing freelancers, respecting deadlines.
* Strong teamwork and communication skills, with a positive attitude.
* Confidence in selling your designs internally and to clients.
* Flexibility and adaptability to changing demands.
