Commercial Sales Credit Controller
Location: Colchester / Hybrid (2 days a week on site Monday & Tuesday)
Salary: £27,976 per annum
Hours: Monday – Friday 37.5 hours per week

Responsibilities
* Manage the full credit control lifecycle: assess customer credit applications and conduct checks to determine creditworthiness.
* Oversee accounts receivable, track overdue payments, and recover credit balances.
* Negotiate payment terms and repayment plans with customers.
* Resolve billing disputes in collaboration with Sales, Customer Service and Finance.
* Produce insightful reports on credit risk, aged debt and bad debt exposure.
* Take full ownership of customer accounts while balancing excellent service with effective credit management.
* Support wider business initiatives during peak periods, including Customer First‑mass mobilisation activities.
Qualifications
* Experience in credit control or accounts receivable, ideally within a commercial or sales‑focused environment.
* Strong negotiation and communication skills.
* Excellent attention to detail and analytical capability.
* Ability to manage multiple priorities and consistently meet deadlines.
* Confidence in working collaboratively across internal teams.
* A proactive, solutions‑focused mindset and a high level of accountability.
