We welcome applications from those looking for hybrid working, based 2 days in our Handforth (Cheshire) Office.

Are you a creative communicator with a passion for animal welfare and education? We’re looking for an Education Content Developer to join our Veterinary Education team and help deliver our Veterinary Services strategy through the creation of engaging, high-quality learning materials. You’ll design content ranging from eLearning modules and clinical resources to promotional campaigns and internal communications—supporting professional development and enhancing clinical practice across the business.

You’ll bring a strong foundation in animal-related science, having been trained to at least degree level (. BSc), with additional qualifications such as Registered Veterinary Nurse (RVN) or MRCVS status considered a bonus. With a blend of subject matter expertise and creative flair, you’ll lead on copywriting and content design, ensuring clarity, consistency, and impact. Collaborating across departments, you’ll align educational content with operational priorities—driving engagement, excellence, and continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities – What you ‘ll be doing

Implementation of the Veterinary Education strategy

1. Lead the development of engaging veterinary education materials, including course guides, eLearning modules, intranet resources, and slide decks.
2. Write clear, polished copy to support learning content across platforms like the intranet and our internal learning platform.
3. Create visually appealing promotional materials to drive engagement with the Clinical Academy.
4. Maintain a library of clinically approved images and ensure all content meets welfare standards and brand guidelines.
5. Keep the House Style Guide up to date and ensure consistency across all communications.
6. Plan and deliver communication campaigns for the Veterinary Services team across multiple channels.
7. Promote and manage Veterinary Education communities and intranet pages.
8. Act as an ambassador for the Clinical Academy, encouraging engagement and participation from practice teams.

Content Management

9. Track and catalogue educational assets in line with the skills matrix.
10. Regularly review and update content to ensure accuracy and relevance.
11. Monitor feedback from events and compile quarterly reports.
12. Manage inbound queries via mailbox and Salesforce, ensuring timely responses.

Wider Business Support

13. Create impactful audio-visual content for the wider Veterinary Services team and retail business.
14. Develop content suitable for a range of audiences—from schoolchildren to veterinary professionals.
15. Support outreach initiatives such as My Pet Pals workshops with creative, engaging materials.

Stakeholder Engagement

16. Build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to ensure content meets business needs.
17. Work collaboratively across departments in a matrix environment to deliver aligned, effective content.

About You – What you’ll bring to the Role

You’ll have a degree in an animal-related subject (. BSc) and hands-on experience in animal biology, husbandry, or welfare—perhaps from a clinical setting, animal shelter, or zoo. You’re not just knowledgeable—you’re creative, confident, and passionate about turning complex topics into engaging, accessible learning experiences.

You’ll be:

20. A strong writer with exceptional attention to detail, grammar, and tone.
21. Skilled in creating both written and visual content for a range of audiences.
22. Comfortable using tools like Canva, Rise, and intranet platforms to build high-quality learning materials.
23. Experienced in applying instructional design principles to create compelling slide decks and eLearning content.
24. Organised and adaptable, with the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
25. A confident communicator who can build relationships and influence at all levels.
26. A collaborative team player who thrives in a matrix environment.

Desirable if you have:

27. RVN or MRCVS registration.
28. Experience with Learning Management Systems (. SuccessFactors).
29. Knowledge of quality assurance processes in an educational or clinical setting.
