Reporting to the Business Account Manager, this role will play a key part in maximising TransPennine Express Business Travel and Group Revenue through proactive sales, account management activity and the delivery of sales performance to achieve forecasted targets. • Proactively seek out new opportunities within the Group and SME Market specifically to position TPE as a viable business and group travel solution for intercity travel across the North of England and into Scotland. Cold calling and attending industry and networking events and expo's where required and contacting clients to follow up new business leads and enquiries. Help with converting leads into managed accounts and grow passenger numbers and revenue by prospecting business, group and leisure tour operators • Work with internal teams to allow us to shape and deliver the best travel experience for our customers and leverage opportunities to deliver commercial products and services for TPE's group travel and the corporate SME market. • Grow existing business and retain customers by developing long term relationships with corporate accounts, scheduling regular contact to obtain feedback and gain customer insight and facilitating the sales process from beginning to the end. • Implementation of new SME corporate accounts and Travel Management accounts, building client profiles, travel policies and setting up the accounts for the TPE business tool dependent on client needs around credit facilities. • Where it is in TPE's commercial interest to do so, engage with Travel Management Companies (TMCs), Tour Operators, Travel Agents and other third-party retailers to promote our group and travel products / services and raise TPE's profile and awareness. • Dealing with customer queries and offering excellent customer service and working closely with the Group Sales Co-ordinator • Working with our finance teams and internal accounts teams to ensure that all payments are made in a timely manner and processed correctly. Support the new corporate SME accounts and groups payments. Liaising with the finance and account teams to manage the reconciliation of client billing and invoicing. • Work with the Business Account Manager to implement commercial incentive schemes, where appropriate, to encourage travel with TPE and to encourage incremental rail travel and modal shift from road transport. • Ensure cross-functional collaborative working across all internal and external stakeholders, including excellent communications to manage group enquiries, in order to successfully deliver business objectives as well as address any issues in relation to the customer experience. • Reporting periodically to outline proactive activities for all group and business travel and SME business conversions and contacts. Reporting to include performance, insights and new business leads pipeline • Provide coverage for the reactive group travel desk during periods of agreed leave, ensuring continuity of service and support for group travel enquiries • Carry out other duties from time to time as reasonably requested by the Business Account Manager.
