Overview
As a Sous Chef at The Belfry, you will support the Head Chef in overseeing the kitchen's daily operations, maintaining high culinary standards. You'll lead and motivate the team, manage stock and hygiene practices, and ensure consistent, high-quality food production. Responsibilities
* Deputise for the Head Chef
* Manage your team and their training & development
* Understand the importance of allergens and dietary safety within your kitchen
* All temperature logging for hot items and refrigerators to ensure full compliance
* Run the kitchen throughout a busy service and provide support to your team to ensure a fast and accurate delivery
* Clear and clean the kitchen to ensure we remain compliant
* Be an inspirational leader, a quick thinker and a brilliant communicator
* Be standards-driven, with a fantastic eye for detail
* Take ownership over your section and work toward guidelines of portion control including weights and measurements and log all wastage for more accurate GP %
* Develop strong relationships with your team and colleagues
* Proficient in understanding of COSHH and HACCP on food storage

Salary
The on-target earning potential for this role is 39,186.44 annual salary, comprising a base salary of 36,341.00 plus an estimated 2,845.44 in gratuities per annum.
