Job Purpose
This role is responsible for leading the management, analysis, and reporting of Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) in line with a large, contractdriven operational environment. The Performance Manager will streamline and formalise processes to improve workflow efficiency, ensure contractual and legal compliance, and support continuous improvement across quality, environmental, and health & safety standards.
Working closely with senior managers, operational teams, and external stakeholders, the role plays a key part in ensuring performance data is accurate, meaningful, and clearly communicated.
Key Accountabilities
(Reporting to the Business Manager)
KPI Management & Reporting
1. Analyse, manage, and report on KPIs using performance dashboards
2. Produce clear performance analysis, highlighting trends, risks, and improvement areas
3. Collate and submit monthly, quarterly, annual, and business continuity reports in line with contractual requirements
Process & Systems Improvement
4. Implement and maintain monitoring systems for performance targets through process mapping
5. Develop, formalise, and communicate new or improved operational processes
6. Support the introduction, monitoring, and review of new systems and tools
Compliance & Audit
7. Maintain the Integrated Management System (IMS) through robust document control
8. Coordinate and support internal and external audit programmes
9. Ensure operational compliance with legal obligations and contract requirements
10. Manage and report noncompliance issues, including performance adjustments and financial penalties
Performance Strategy & Continuous Improvement
11. Support the development and delivery of performance improvement strategies
12. Carry out root cause analysis and support corrective action plans
13. Drive continuous improvement initiatives across the business
Communication & Engagement
14. Communicate performance information clearly through reports, presentations, and training sessions
15. Engage positively with teams to support understanding of performance expectations
16. Contribute to a collaborative and highperforming working environment
Meetings & Stakeholder Engagement
17. Attend and facilitate performance and compliance meetings
18. Act as a key point of contact for internal teams and external stakeholders on performance matters
19. Support discussions relating to noncompliance and contractual performance
Health & Safety
20. Compile, analyse, and report health & safety statistics and exposure data
Other Duties
21. Carry out any additional reasonable tasks as requested to support the needs of the business
Essential Skills & Experience
22. Proven experience in performance management, KPI analysis, and reporting within a complex operational environment
23. Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and provide actionable insights
24. Experience supporting audits, compliance, and risk management processes
25. Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio
26. Experience using business intelligence tools such as Power BI
27. Ability to implement and improve monitoring systems and processes
28. Excellent written and verbal communication skills
29. Experience preparing and delivering reports, presentations, and training sessions
30. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities
