We are seeking a Year 5/6 Teacher to cover maternity leave from 1 January 2026 until August 2026 on a 0.6 contract. Duties as a Year5/6 Teacher: Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging lessons that meet the needs of all learners in Year 5/6. Assess, record, and report on pupils’ progress in line with school and national expectations. Differentiate teaching to support children with varying abilities and learning styles. Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that promotes high standards of behaviour and achievement. Contribute to the planning and delivery of enrichment activities, school events, and assemblies. Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and parents to ensure the best outcomes for pupils. Participate in staff meetings, training, and school development initiatives as required. Ideal Year 5/6 Teacher: Have proven experience teaching across upper Key Stage 2 (Year 5 and/or Year 6). Demonstrate a strong understanding of the KS2 curriculum and assessment processes as a Year 5/6 Teacher. Be reflective, organised, and committed to continuous improvement.
