The Restructuring and Recoveries Team's purpose is to help minimise avoidable losses, in order to enable Investec's continued growth for our clients, employees and shareholders. We are a client facing team who achieve this by providing expert support, objective challenge and situational expertise.

What will you be doing?
A client facing recoveries banker to support existing team manage challenging loan workout situations (predominately but not limited to Real Estate security) either consensually with clients or if required via appropriate enforcement channels (Fixed Charge Receivership or Administration). The candidate will be required to support existing team members establish and run appropriate recovery strategies that will mitigate potential losses and ensure timely recoveries for the Bank.
1. Day to day contact with clients in or potentially likely to fall into default.
2. Liaise directly with third party stakeholders such as lawyers, insolvency professionals, surveyors, agents and borrowers
3. Lead asset strategies, disposals and enforcement processes where required
4. Preparation of strategic proposals to Credit Committee
5. Complete Annual, Credit and External Audit reporting across portfolio
6. Liaising with internal Legal Risk in respect of loan documentation and Lending Operations re Receipts/Drawdowns etc.
What are we looking for?
7. Ideally 2years post qualified Surveyor with experience in the residential property recoveries sector or
8. Experienced banker preferably with regulated mortgage experience.
9. Sector specific legal knowledge
10. Strong communication/interpersonal skills – particularly in challenging environments
11. Report writing
12. Analytic skills and cash flow modelling.
13. Understanding of property and lending principles
14. Strong IT skills (Word and Excel) and basic financial modelling
Highly desirable but not essential, and we'll put you through CeMAP if you don't have this.
