The Opportunity
The position of Technical Manager offers the opportunity to manage, motivate and drive the technical remit to achieve the highest possible results against technical strategy and expectations, alongside positive interaction with key retail customers maintaining and further developing successful relationships and technical satisfaction.
In-depth knowledge of major retailers' technical systems is required, to compliment knowledge of all aspects of product flow from Fresh Produce crop to production, through to customer delivery.
Drive and commit to continuous improvement across the technical function.
Responsibilities
* Manage, motivate and drive the technical remit to achieve results against strategy and expectations.
* Maintain and develop relationships with key retail customers to ensure technical satisfaction.
* Apply in-depth knowledge of major retailers' technical systems across the entire fresh produce supply chain.
* Deliver continuous improvement across the technical function.
Qualifications
* Proven technical expertise gained within the competitive fresh produce sector.
* Significant experience (minimum 3+ years) at a Technologist or Technical Manager level within Fresh Produce.
* Deep understanding of the entire fresh produce supply chain.
* Highly numerically minded and confident working with complex data.
* Professional, confident, and highly effective communicator at all levels.
* Ability to thrive and meet tight deadlines in a demanding, fast-paced environment.
