Role: Children's Support Worker (Orchard Court) – Location: Mirfield, WF14 0DQ – Salary: £12.81/hr – Hours: Part-time and full-time (22.5hrs - 37.5hrs) – Alternate weekends included.
Overview
Our Children's Service in Mirfield is seeking Support Workers to provide holistic, day‑to‑day support to children and young people with complex needs at Orchard Court – a residential home offering seven wheelchair‑adapted, en‑suite rooms with tracking hoists and a vibrant, art‑filled environment. You will help maintain independence, improve quality of life and create a safe, caring community.
Responsibilities
You will build trust, encourage positive routines and aid each child in developing confidence and life skills. Your day will involve a mixture of morning and afternoon shifts, with alternate weekend work. Long shifts may be available once settled. You will assist with meals, activities, hygiene, behaviour management and support car usage as required.

Eligibility & Support
We require applicants to have at least 6 months UK‑based work experience in any sector and you must be able to provide a DBS check. We will fund the initial DBS check unless you have a portable DBS, in which case the fee will be deducted from your final salary if you leave voluntarily within the first 12 months.
