Job Description
Employment Advisers are the front line of Reed in Partnership, directly contributing to our mission by supporting jobseekers, engaging with local employers, and promoting the benefits of the Restart Scheme within the local community. Their work centres on providing excellent service to participants and creating pathways to sustainable employment.
Responsibilities
* Meet with and support a caseload of long‑term unemployed jobseekers, identifying barriers and creating tailored action plans to progress them into employment.
* Deliver one‑to‑one guidance to participants, including CV writing, interview preparation, and skills development.
* Meet and exceed performance targets and key performance indicators (KPIs).
* Collaborate with participants to shift mindsets and build confidence for finding and sustaining work.
* Engage with local employers to identify job opportunities.
* Signpost participants to internal and external stakeholders to address specific barriers such as health, housing, or financial challenges.
* Promote the Restart Scheme within the community, raising awareness of its benefits and impact.
* Provide inclusive support and advice to people from all backgrounds.

Qualifications
* Demonstrated coaching/mentoring experience and persuasion/influencing skills, evidenced by previous work or social activities.
* Experience in a customer‑facing environment (e.g. customer services, hospitality, social care, sales).
* Experience working in a fast‑paced, performance‑targeted environment.
* Willingness to travel locally to meet clients and employers.
* Minimum of 2 A‑Levels or an equivalent Level3 Diploma.
* GCSE English Language at a minimum of GradeB (or equivalent Level2 qualification). Alternative: achievement of a Level2 Literacy Assessment at interview stage or equivalent international qualifications.
Desirable Criteria
* Fluency in more than one language.
