Are you a passionate and enthusiastic Geographer looking to develop your career within a successful and supportive school in the Kent countryside? We invite applications from both those at the start of their career or an experienced teacher, bringing enthusiasm for your subject and your ability to inspire and transform the lives of young people.
We have an excellent uptake at GCSE and A-Level, being currently one of the most popular options at GCSE. You would be required to teach at both KS3 and KS4; the ability to teach A level would be an advantage but is not essential. We have organised trips to Italy, the Lake District and Iceland and would love you to be a part of our team.
With our ethos of ‘Learning, Respect and Belonging’, we have high aspirations for everyone and hope to receive your application. In return, you will enjoy a unique working environment in the beautiful town of Tenterden in the heart of the Weald of Kent. We invest in our staff and you will be given a full induction programme and continuous coaching support to help you progress throughout your career. All teaching staff are provided with an IT device, discounts and offers with Kent Rewards, enhanced pension contributions and there is a nursery based on the school site which offers discounts to Tenterden Schools Trust Staff. We are not accepting applications from employment agencies for this position but would be delighted to receive a direct application from you.
It’s a competitive market out there and we want to know what it is that makes you the one for us. Detail your successes in your completed application form and supporting letter and get us excited about you!
Closing date: Closing date: 17th May 2026 however an early application is encouraged as we review applications as we receive them.
