Cost Clerk – Construction | BS1 6NL Are you detail-oriented with a background in construction finance or site administration? Our client is seeking a Cost Clerk to join their dynamic team in Bristol (BS1 6NL). This is a fantastic opportunity to support on-site management by ensuring accurate tracking, recording, and reporting of all site-related costs on major construction projects. ️ Construction experience is essential. Key Responsibilities: Cost Tracking & Reporting * Monitor daily site costs including labour, materials, plant, and subcontractors * Maintain detailed cost logs and spreadsheets * Assist in weekly and monthly cost reporting Invoice & Purchase Order Management * Match invoices with delivery notes and POs * Input invoice data into finance systems * Liaise with suppliers/subcontractors to resolve invoice queries Timesheets & Labour Records * Collect and verify site timesheets * Input data into systems for payroll and cost allocation * Track agency and subcontractor hours against budget Site Administration * Keep accurate records of deliveries, returns, and stock * Raise requisitions and track procurement * Assist with document control and filing Communication & Coordination * Work closely with site teams, suppliers, and head office to ensure seamless cost management ✅ What We’re Looking For: * Experience in a construction or site-based finance/admin role * Strong numerical and analytical skills * Proficient in Microsoft Excel and financial systems * Meticulous attention to detail and excellent organisational skills * Able to work independently and collaboratively * Confident communicator, both written and verbal ⭐ Desirable Skills: * Familiarity with ERP systems such as COINS, SAP, or Oracle * Knowledge of construction processes and terminology Location: Bristol, BS1 6NL Full-time | On-site Immediate start available
