Main Duties of the Job

Post holder will provide specialist psychiatric assessment, treatment and management for adults aged 18 upwards with serious and enduring mental illness in Conwy. The post holder will provide medical input to patients under secondary care CMHT when required by the care coordinator as well as provide consultation and supervision for Primary Mental Health Services in their catchment area. The service will deliver a needs led service and therefore the post holder will be expected to manage those above 65 until such time as their needs are more appropriately met by the Older Persons Mental Health Services. The post holder will be based with the CMHT and work with the county manager to ensure clinical leadership of the multi-disciplinary team. The post holder will assist with clinical supervision of the team. It is anticipated that the post holder will assist in training of team members in clinical matters.
