Job Title: Breakfast and After School - Activity Leader
Location: Seaforth Gardens, Bedford, Bedfordshire, MK40 4TJ
Hours: 22.5 hours per week during term time (with the opportunity to work up to 40 hours per week during holiday clubs if desired)
Operational Hours: Monday to Friday: 7:30am – 9:00am & 3:00pm – 6:00pm
Pay: £12.21 to £13.50 per hour
Contract: Term Time or 52 week available

Responsibilities
* Plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more; ensure activities are age-appropriate.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies, including signing in and out processes.
* Provide refreshments for the children.

* Collaborate with the team to plan and execute structured and exciting activities that encourage maximum participation, such as multi-sports, games, arts and crafts, structured play, and more.
* Ensure all activities are age and skill-appropriate while prioritizing safety, including the proper use of equipment and space.
* Provide refreshments for the kids while maintaining high standards of hygiene and health and safety.
* Set up and pack away play spaces, moving furniture and play equipment as needed.
* Follow all Health and Safety protocols and policies and keep all relevant documentation up to date, including accident and incident forms.
* Ensure proper sign-in and sign-out procedures for all children in our care.
* Communicate professionally and authentically with team members, parents, children, and schools.
* Conduct regular maintenance and safety checks for all equipment and kit.
* Take the lead in championing health and safety, providing first aid where necessary.
* Keep all information and documents related to the children confidential and secure.
* Inspire our team members and the children in our care to have fun, be active, and lead an active lifestyle.
This role requires compliance with the Keeping Children Safe in Education policy and is exempt from the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (ROA) 1974. You must provide two references (one from your most recent employer and one from a childcare setting, if applicable). A DBS check will be conducted on your behalf, so please prepare the correct documentation.
