We are seeking passionate and knowledgeable individuals to join our dynamic MEGA Hubs team. In this role,you will coach aspiring e-sports and tech talent in Competitive Gaming, Wellbeing, Cyber, Business, andCreative disciplines to inspire the next generation through our gamified super-curricular programme.

Key Responsibilities

The key responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:

In-Game Development
• Coaching players on in-game skills, strategies, and tactics for competitive success.
• Conducting match and tournament analysis to identify areas of improvement.
• Designing and overseeing training programs tailored to individual and team needs.
• Developing tournament preparation plans to ensure peak performance on game days.

Health and Wellbeing
• Promoting player fitness through tailored routines and exercise programs.
• Teaching performance psychology principles to enhance focus, confidence, and resilience.
• Providing guidance on player nutrition and its impact on gaming performance.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Establishing routines and strategies to maintain mental health and well-being.

Cyber, Gaming Ethics, and Entrepreneurship
• Exploring Cyber Security fundamentals within gaming and e-sports.
• Educating players on ethical conduct in gaming and e-sports.
• Introducing business models, entrepreneurship opportunities, and industry insights.
• Mentoring players on building sustainable careers in the gaming ecosystem.

Creative and Content Development
• Facilitating game ideation sessions and applying generative AI in content creation.
• Guiding players in designing and producing engaging content for social media and streamingplatforms.
• Training participants in showcasing skills, marketing themselves, and building personal brands.
• Supporting tournament design, from conceptualisation to execution.

Skills and Experience:
• Proven experience as an e-sports coach or in a similar role.
• Strong knowledge of e-sports titles, strategies, and competitive formats (console and PC).
• Familiarity with performance psychology, player nutrition, and fitness.
• Expertise in generative AI, game ideation, and content creation.
• Understanding of ethical practices and entrepreneurship in e-sports.
• Knowledge of Cyber Security fundamentals.
• Excellent communication and leadership skills.

Desirable:
• Experience in shoutcasting, marketing, and personal branding.
• Knowledge of tournament organisation and design principles.
• Certification in nutrition, fitness, or psychology is a plus.
• Experience of working with Key Stage 3 students.
• Experience working with neurodiversity.
• Willingness to work additional ad hoc events across the North West, including dropdown days atlocal colleges, weekend sessions, and tournaments.
• Full UK Driving licence.

Job Details

Locations: North West MEGA Hubs – Blackburn, Blackpool, Nelson & Colne, and Oldham.
Hours: Variable casual hours (pay negotiable) – delivery dates and timings depend on the assigned MEGAHub location(s), local academic term dates, and school day schedules.

Session Details: One-hour sessions held at secondary schools after the school day during term time,typically requiring coaches to be available between 2:30 PM and 4:30 PM. Up to 16 sessions per school, peracademic year.

Compensation: £16-£20 per hour, based on experience.Staff will be compensated for two hours per session, covering the set up, delivery of the onehour session, pack up, and travel expenses.

Start Date: As soon as possible.

Requirements: Successful candidates must undergo a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check as partof the recruitment process
