The role is for RAAM Construction which is part of the ABCA Group.Job Purpose
As a Fire Alarm Engineer, you will be delivering planned preventative maintenance on fire/life safety equipment to ensure peace of mind and compliance to our customers. You will also carry out regular servicing, reactive maintenance and commissioning of various fire detection & alarm systems plus other related systems, compliant with British Standards.
What You'll Be Doing:
* Regular routine servicing, commissioning of various Fire alarm systems, and other Fire/Life safety systems
* Undertake reactive call outs for fault finding and the repair of faults
* Complete a service report for all service visits to maintain compliance.
* To work with and under instruction from your line manager complying with work instructions, company policies and Health and Safety procedures.
* Ensure that an accurate and high standard of company documentation is maintained.
* Undertake On-Call duties as with your Team (as per rota).
What You'll Bring:
Essential:
* Working understanding of relevant British Standards, in particular clauses relating to servicing, maintenance and commissioning
* Hold a valid CSCS or ECS card
* Full clean UK manual driving licence
* Safety focused approach to customers and work colleagues
* Collaborative, communicative, and adaptable with a proactive mindset.
* Demonstrated competence in operating IT systems, such as handheld tablets and digital communicators
* Minimum 3+ years Fire Alarm System experience.
Desirable:
* Fire Alarm Manufacturers courses certification including FIA Bs5839 Fundamentals
* Wide knowledge on manufacturers: Morley, Kentec, Advanced, Notifier, Ziton, Hyfire, EDA
* Experience working with Emergency Lighting systems advantageous
* Asbestos awareness certification
* Qualified First Aider
