* Recently qualified Accountant (CA/CIMA/ACCA)
* Experience of accounting systems
* Advanced Excel skills
* Strong attention to detail and ability to deliver accurate and timely results
* Deadline focussed and willing to put in the effort to ensure these are met
* Confidence and strong interpersonal skills, especially when interfacing with senior management and internal/external stakeholders
* Energy, drive, tenacity, professionalism and commitment
* Ability to work well in a team, but also capable of taking ownership for the delivery of specific tasks
Key Responsibilities
* Prepare monthly management accounts, including variance analysis and commentary
* Month-end journals posting, review and delegation of (cost transfers, GRNI, framework fees and rebates). Ensure the Finance Assistant or Finance Trainee complete the tasks; you retain overall responsibility for the postings and outputs
* Proactively manage the delegation of journals to more junior staff and assist the Group Accountant with the review
* Assist with preparation of budgets and forecasts
* Prepare balance sheet reconciliations and confirm nominal ledger integrity
* Fixed asset creation and register management (depreciation posting)
* Support P11D process, ensuring timely and accurate employee benefits reporting to HMRC
* Work with the Group Accountant to integrate new acquisitions into our finance structure and approach – working with their local teams to bring into Head Office tasks we perform for other entities in the group management accounts, VAT, and tax compliance etc. Provide support if this ownership is retained locally
* Provide ad hoc financial information and analysis to support decision making and performance analysis at various levels the company
* Assist the Group Accountant with the development and monitoring of KPIs for the Accounts team
