About You
We are looking for an Assistant NPD Technologist, to support the NPD team across all areas of new product development, helping to turn creative ideas into real products. From developing and baking new recipes to preparing samples for customers and taking part in taste panels, you’ll play an active role where no two days will be the same.

What You’ll Be Doing
* Provide hands-on and administrative support to the NPD Technologist and Development Manager, ensuring the NPD kitchen operates smoothly and safely.
* Support with recipe development, contributing ideas and preparing recipes to specification.
* Research the latest bakery trends and share insights with the NPD and Production teams.
* Mix and bake recipes to a specification.
* Make repeat NPD samples as required.
* Take responsibility for stock control and rotation, including maintaining stock and accurately labelling any raw materials.
* Support trials from both the NPD kitchen and factory.
* Support shelf-life trials, organoleptic assessments and participate in taste panels.
* Maintain accurate technical documentation, recipes, and specifications to meet company and customer requirements.
* Prepare and dispatch customer samples, accurately recording data, booking shipments and labelling.
* Collect and record samples for water activity testing.
What You'll Bring
* Basic understanding and experience of food production processes and food safety.
* Preferably a basic understanding of audit requirements (full training given).
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills
* High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
* Able to work at pace and meet multiple deadlines.
* Numerate and literate with the ability to analyse data.
* Computer literate with proficiency in MS Office.

How We Work Together
Salary: Up to £25,000 per annum (depending on experience and skills)
Working Arrangements: This is a full-time on-site role based in Bishops Cleeve, Cheltenham. Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4pm.
