Title: Dispatch Operative Job Summary The Dispatch Operative is responsible for dispatching orders from our in-house stock. The role requires concentration, motivation and the ability to work under pressure in order to achieve deadlines. Teamwork is vital, both within the Goods Out department as well as the wider warehouse and other internal departments too. Responsibilities Dispatching orders ready shipment using our in-house systems Follow company guidelines regarding order dispatching with high attention to detail Performing dispatch operations in accordance with time, quality and quantity targets Preparing courier labels using shipping software Quality control of processed stock / picked items, ensuring it meets company standards for customer satisfaction Use of bespoke internal database to aid in product accuracy checks Liaising with other warehouse, sales and purchasing teams Maintain a clean work area As the company culture promotes helping others, ad hoc tasks may be assigned to the job holder that are not listed above The job holder is expected to understand and work according to the requirements of the Techbuyer Quality Management System Skills or Training Attention to detail – you’ll need to be able to follow strict operational guidelines Methodical approach to problem solving and ability to use own initiative Ability to work under pressure, prioritising workload and multitasking Ability to use PC skills fast and efficiently (fast typist) Adaptability to changing daily tasks Professional demeanour with customers and suppliers
