We are looking for an organised and efficient Operations Supervisor to join our team in our Norwich branch, being our senior operational management for our early shift.
What’s the role?
As the Operations Supervisor you will be responsible for supporting and coordinating the daily warehouse and transport activities in line with SIG policies. Your key role will be route planning and managing the efficiency of our fleet along side our other operational supervisor, as well as covering all operational areas of the logistics department.
What you’ll be doing:
* Responsible for supervising and guiding a team of drivers & warehouse operatives assigning tasks correctly.
* Manage the teams workload effectively, ensuring completion of tasks and meeting the required KPI’s
* Review third party costs by contributing and managing third party costs in relation to agency spend.
* Promote a culture of health & safety, ensuring recording of incidents, near misses and PI’s.
* Accountable for overseeing the receiving, storage and distribution of goods in the warehouse.
* Manage transport activities to ensure operations run seamlessly.
* Responsible for ensuring compliance with all required training, ensuring operatives FLT, Reach Truck and other licenses are maintained and up to date.
What you’ll bring:
* Good understanding of IT software package, including Microsoft Office.
* Budget management awareness
* Experience of planning/routing of transport fleet
* Evidence of improving warehouse effectiveness
* Experience of leading and managing performance of warehouse team and workforce planning effectively
* Problem solving skills and strong attention to detail
* Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
