Job Title: Autism Support Assistant
Location: Skegness
Salary: £89 - £100 per day (Depending on experience)
Start: Immediate
Contract: Day-to-day/Long-term, Part-time/Full-time

An inclusive and supportive SEN school in Skegness is seeking a compassionate and proactive Autism Support Assistant to join their team. The school caters for students of all ages, providing tailored support for a wide range of special educational needs, with a strong focus on Autism Spectrum Condition (ASC).
Responsibilities:
* Provide one-to-one and small group support to students with autism and additional needs.
* Assist in delivering structured, engaging, and differentiated lessons.
* Support the development of communication, social interaction, and emotional regulation skills.
* Use visual aids, structured routines, and alternative communication tools (, PECS, Makaton).
* Work collaboratively with teaching staff, therapists, and support workers.
* Promote a safe, positive, and inclusive learning environment for all students.
* Monitor student progress and adapt support strategies where necessary.
Requirements:
* Experience working with children or young people with autism or other SEN.
* A calm, patient, and consistent approach to behaviour and emotional support.
* Understanding of autism, sensory processing differences, and related needs.
* Strong communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
* Familiarity with SEN strategies and safeguarding procedures.
* An enhanced DBS certificate on the update service or willingness to apply through GSL Education.
