About the Role:

We are seeking an Investment Banking Analyst in the Tech & Services sector to support growth. This role requires a motivated individual with sell-side experience. Our Global Investment Banking division provides M&A, debt advisory, and financing services to middle-market companies. As a Baird Investment Banker, you'll work on high-profile transactions, gaining insights across various sectors while contributing to our clients' long-term success.
The Impact You’ll Make:
1. Be an integral part of investment banking teams, supporting mergers, acquisitions, and financial advisory.
2. Prepare company valuations, financial models, marketing documents, and presentations.
3. Review client investment statements and calculate monthly returns.
4. Create customized Excel spreadsheets for portfolio management.
5. Execute advanced word processing and spreadsheet tasks.
6. Help with trade processing, including report generation and account reconciliation.
7. Handle client communications, explaining policies as needed.
8. Compose routine letters and compile client meeting information.
9. Support timely completion of client reports.
What You’ll Bring to Baird:
10. 1-2 years of sell-side experience at a top-tier investment bank.
11. A strong academic record and interest in Finance.
12. A solid work ethic, teamwork skills, and self-direction.
13. Excellent mathematical, writing, verbal, and computer skills.
14. Strong interpersonal communication and professionalism.
15. Strong organizational skills, detail-oriented, and able to multitask.
16. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint; Access knowledge preferred.
17. Advanced math skills and strong language proficiency.
18. Ability to work effectively as a team player.
