About The Role

Why This Role Matters

As our Deputy Manager, you'll play a vital role in leading a dedicated, skilled, and compassionate team. Working alongside the Registered Manager, you'll ensure the highest standards of care, support, and safeguarding — while helping your team grow, thrive, and deliver excellence every single day.

This is more than a management job — it's an opportunity to inspire a team, make an impact, and create a home where young people can flourish.

Key Responsibilities

In this exciting and varied role, you'll:

Lead and motivate a team of Support Workers and Senior Support Workers to deliver exceptional person-centred care

Support the Registered Manager in the day-to-day running of the home, ensuring it meets all regulatory and quality standards

Oversee care plans, risk assessments, and safeguarding processes

Promote a positive culture where children and young people feel safe, valued, and encouraged to reach their potential

Ensure compliance with organisational policies and children's home regulations

Develop and coach staff, promoting continuous learning and progression

Contribute to multi-disciplinary working, liaising with families, professionals, and external agencies

Take part in on-call and shift leadership, ensuring consistent, high-quality care 24/7

About You

You're someone who leads by example — approachable, organised, and passionate about making a difference.

We're looking for:

Experience in a children's residential setting (ideally Level 3 or above in Residential Childcare or equivalent)

A commitment to achieving or holding Level 5 Diploma in Leadership & Management for Residential Childcare

Strong understanding of safeguarding, regulatory standards, and positive behaviour support

Great communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills

A positive, proactive attitude with genuine compassion and resilience

Why You'll Love Working With Us
