Hire Controller

As a Hire Controller at HSS ProService, you will guide customers through the sales journey, utilizing your excellent customer service skills. Your role involves converting inquiries into revenue and delivering exceptional customer experiences.

You will develop in-depth product and process knowledge, establishing strong relationships across our operations to ensure customers receive what they need, on time and within budget.

Key responsibilities include acting as a link between customers and suppliers to ensure seamless service, directly impacting customer satisfaction and operational success.

A typical day:

1. Manage customer orders with attention to detail to ensure successful outcomes.
2. Work closely with operations teams to ensure timely equipment delivery.
3. Understand customer needs to upsell and cross-sell effectively.
4. Assist customers with navigating our digital channels for convenience.
5. Stay updated on our products and services to maximize sales opportunities.
6. Handle customer requests within SLAs and support logistics queries.
7. Make recommendations to customers and support the ordering process.
8. Coordinate third-party carrier movements for timely deliveries.
9. Prioritize preferred suppliers in line with contracts to maintain positive margins.
10. Negotiate with suppliers to optimize contract costs.
11. Educate customers about our divisions to enhance service value.
12. Meet and exceed KPIs, including job completion rates and margins.

The role is based permanently within Portsmouth Naval Base.

What you'll bring:

* Experience in Hire or Building Materials sales environments is preferred.
* Outstanding customer service skills.
* Proven ability to build relationships and achieve results.
* Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
* Strong multitasking skills with attention to detail.
* Resilience and tenacity in a fast-paced environment.
* Ability to obtain BPSS security clearance.
* Driving license is preferable.
