Job Title: Process Quality Engineer Reporting to: Quality Manager Xtrac is the worlds leading design and manufacture of specialist transmissions. About the Role We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Quality Engineer to join our dynamic team at Xtrac. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the highest standards of quality processes and reliability in our transmission systems, contributing to our continued success in delivering world-class products to our customers. Day to Day Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement quality assurance processes and procedures in accordance with industry standards and customer requirements. Lead the Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) process, ensuring effective planning, execution, and validation of new product launches and engineering changes. Conduct Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) activities, including submission, review, and approval of documentation and samples to meet customer requirements. Perform Process and Product Audits to verify compliance with quality standards, identify areas for improvement, and drive corrective actions. Develop and maintain Quality Management System (QMS) documentation, including procedures, work instructions, and forms, in accordance with ISO 9001 and other relevant standards. Support supplier quality initiatives, including supplier audits, performance monitoring, and supplier development activities. Analyse quality data and metrics to identify trends, root causes of issues, and opportunities for improvement, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions. Provide training and guidance to employees on quality standards, procedures, and tools to promote a culture of quality and continuous improvement. About You (E Essential, DDesirable) Minimum 2.1 BEng or BSc in an engineering related discipline (E) Minimum Internal Auditor training (ISO 9001) certificate / qualification (E) Knowledge of ISO 9001 (E) & IATF 16949 (D) Knowledge of problem solving and root cause analysis tools (E) Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data manipulation (E) Knowledge of Microsoft products (e.g.Teams, Powerpoint, Word, Outlook, Visio) (E) Awareness of PPAP, APQP and IMDS (D) Understanding of transmission products and precision manufacturing methods (D) Experience in the understanding of precision Engineering drawings, GD&T (E) Experience in performing and reporting on QMS and Manufacturing audits (E) Experience in performing and reporting on supplier audits (D) Experience in the creation and assessment of performance metrics, using data extracted from ERP/MRP systems (E) Experience working with ISO9001 (E) & IATF16949 (D) systems and standards Experience in the use of problem-solving tools (E) About Xtrac Here at Xtrac, we are one of the worlds leading manufacturers of Motorsport and High-Performance Automotive Transmission Solutions.
