About the role
Responsible for ensuring that all information supplied to both colleagues and clients is accurate, of a good quality and available in a timely manner. With skills and knowledge of relevant software applications including GIS software (Mapinfo, Infonet), CCTV data systems and Microsoft Excel, responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective transition of processes through the processing stages. Analysing data, identifying patterns or issues and providing explanatory notes. Working closely with and supporting the operational aspects of the business to assist as required, ensuring the smooth running of the site works
This is a full-time permanent role based from our Chesterfield office
As a Data Technician you will
Principle Accountabilities:
1. Administration
* Receiving works from site
* Maintaining records to update job status
* Working in conjunction with the operational side of the business
* Preparing presentation of deliverables including reports
* Data entry and updates using Excel, Access and all related software applications
2. Technical Analysis
* Maintain systems (recording, process, archiving)
* Carrying out validation procedures
* Analyse and resolve or report anomalies
* Use CCTV data software to update information
* Use GIS software as required
* Following client specifications as necessary
* Update confidential commercial information
3. Assisting in the planning and preparation of site work
* Using software applications to produce plans
* Producing schedules
About you
The role ideally requires a Level 3 or higher IT-related qualification and a relevant CCTV coding qualification (OS19x) is desirable but not essential, along with experience in data analysis, office duties, and working with maps, plans, and GIS systems. Familiarity with CCTV data input and update software would also be beneficial.
