ISQ Recruitment is seeking a Vehicle Technician with strong electrical knowledge to join a workshop-based engineering team. This role would suit people from backgrounds such as ex-military (REME, RAF), HGV, bus, or plant maintenance who enjoy hands-on assembly and electrical work. The Role: Assemble, route and connect high and low-voltage cabling on vehicles Fit powertrain components, cooling and HVAC circuits Diagnose and resolve build or wiring issues Use hand and power tools including crimpers, torque wrenches, and test equipment Fabricate simple brackets or mounts as needed Work from engineering instructions and schematics Support colleagues and share knowledge on electrical build practices Follow all workshop Health & Safety processes What We’re Looking For: Essential: Experience with heavy machinery, buses, HGVs, plant, or similar equipment IMI Level 3 Award in EV Maintenance (or willingness to obtain) Confident working with electrical systems and practical diagnostics Able to use testing tools such as OHM meters and insulation testers Good attention to detail and a proactive approach Full right to work in the UK — visa sponsorship is not available Desirable: Ex-military (REME, RAF, etc.) or mobile heavy equipment background Strong mechanical and electrical fault-finding skills First Aid or Fire Warden training UK driving licence Why Apply?
