CLIENT ACCOUNTANT

ROLE OVERVIEW
We are looking for a Client Accountant to join Premier Estates and take responsibility for delivering high-quality financial management across a portfolio of residential developments.
Working closely with Estates Teams and internal stakeholders, you will manage year-end accounts, budgeting, client reporting and VAT processes, ensuring all outputs are accurate, compliant and delivered on time.
This is a key role within the Client Accounting team, offering ownership of a portfolio, exposure to a range of developments and the opportunity to contribute to consistent, high professional standards across the business.
ROLE EXPECTATIONS
This role requires strong technical capability, attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple deadlines effectively.
You will be expected to work independently, taking ownership of your portfolio and ensuring all financial processes are delivered accurately and within agreed timeframes.
You will work closely with Estates Teams, supporting them with financial information, resolving queries and ensuring client requirements are met.
The role involves a balance of independent working and collaboration with colleagues across accounting and operational teams.

HOW YOU’LL SPEND MOST OF YOUR TIME
* Managing year-end accounts processes across your portfolio.
* Preparing and reviewing service charge budgets.
* Producing monthly and quarterly client reports with supporting commentary.
* Completing balance sheet reviews and maintaining accurate financial records.
* Preparing VAT reports and submitting returns where required.
* Supporting Estates Teams with financial queries and client requirements.
* Attending client meetings and providing financial insight.
* Maintaining workflows and ensuring all deadlines and KPIs are met.
WHO THIS ROLE IS FOR
This role suits someone who:
* Has experience in client accounting, service charge accounting or property accounting.
* Has a strong understanding of year-end accounts, budgeting and reporting processes.
* Is comfortable managing their own workload and meeting deadlines.
* Communicates clearly with both finance and non-finance stakeholders.
* Works accurately and takes a structured, organised approach.
It would be advantageous if you also have:
* Knowledge of Tech3, RICS and TPI guidance.
* Experience preparing VAT returns.
* Experience using Qube or similar accounting systems.
* Experience working within the residential property sector.
EXPERIENCE THAT HELPS
* Strong Excel and data handling skills.
* Experience managing multiple developments or clients.
* Ability to review and maintain accurate balance sheets.
* Experience supporting client-facing teams with financial information.
