Qualifications Required To be eligible to apply, you’ll need: A UK bachelor's degree (2:2 or above, although some 3rd class degrees may be considered) GCSE English and Maths at grade 4 (C) or above (plus Science for primary) Right to work and study in the UK, with 3 years of residency in the UK/EEA (For employment-based routes) Some relevant school experience and a host school Funding & Training Route Options We offer both salaried and fee-funded routes. Salaried Route (Employment-Based) 10-month course You are employed full-time (32.5 hrs/week) on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale The school pays tuition fees for QTS Option to add PGCE for £500 (trainee-funded) For this route, you will need some classroom- based experience of teaching in a school You would need a school to employ you as a salaried trainee teacher Postgraduate Teacher Apprentice Route (Employment-Based) 10-month course You are employed full-time (32.5 hrs/week) on the Unqualified Teacher Pay Scale The training fees are paid by your employer's training levy pot For this route, you will need some classroom- based experience in a school. You would need a school to employ you as an apprentice. Fee-Funded Route Unpaid training placement, but eligible for: Tuition Fee Loan (up to full cost) Maintenance Loan (up to ~£13,000) Tax-free DfE bursaries (for shortage secondary subjects) paid directly to the trainee to of set tuition fees.
