Job summary
An exciting new opportunity has arisen within the Cardiothoracic Directorate for a permanent position as an Aortic Stenosis Coordinator.
We are seeking an experienced administrator to join the Aortic Stenosis Specialist Team. You should be self-motivated, reliable, well organised with excellent communication and interpersonal skills. You should be able to demonstrate administration experience with appropriate qualifications, be able to work efficiently and methodically, with good attention to details without direct supervision. The post holder should be flexible to the needs of the service with a positive and proactive attitude.
This role is crucial to providing and maintaining an efficient service for patients and their families. We are looking for someone who likes to collaborate with others as well as across our organisation.

Job responsibilities
* Provide administrative support to the TAVI team and the entire aortic valve service, ensuring smooth operation of the aortic stenosis pathway.
* Coordinate patient pathways, liaise with multidisciplinary teams, and maintain accurate records in compliance with hospital policies.
* Manage referrals and enquiries related to aortic stenosis via phone and email.
* Support clinics and procedures, including diary management for clinicians.
* Assist in maintaining patient lists and scheduling appointments, investigations, and procedures.
* Monitor and track patient referrals and investigations, ensuring timely updates and documentation.
* Prepare documentation for MDT meetings and clinics, ensuring confidentiality and accuracy.
* Support data collection, audits, and reporting for service improvement.
* Act as a liaison between the team, patients, and other departments, ensuring effective communication.
* Provide non-clinical information to patients and families about the TAVI pathway.
* Attend MDT meetings, take minutes, and track actions.
* Streamline administrative processes and provide cross-cover support as needed.
* Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and values.

Person Specification
Qualifications & Education
* GCSE English and Mathematics (Grades 9-4) or equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or 4, or equivalent qualification/experience
* Coaching or teaching qualification
* Full European driving licence
Knowledge & Experience
* Relevant health or social care experience or equivalent
* Experience working with multidisciplinary teams
* Understanding of patient-centred care and healthcare environment
* Knowledge of work procedures and IT systems
Skills & Abilities
* Ability to meet tight deadlines
* Excellent organisational skills
