Are you passionate about creating safer, smarter, and more compliant buildings? This is an exciting opportunity to join a forward-thinking PBSA operator with a reputation for delivering exceptional student living experiences. As part of a growing central team, you'll play a key role in embedding the Building Safety Act across a national portfolio and driving a culture where safety and excellence go hand in hand.
The Role
You'll be the go-to person for all things related to building safety and compliance - maintaining vital documentation, working closely with consultants and regulators, and ensuring every property meets the latest legislative standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
* Managing and controlling key safety documentation (the "golden thread") across the UK portfolio.
* Reviewing, maintaining, and updating building safety cases to keep them current and compliant.
* Liaising with the Building Safety Regulator and specialist consultants on all building safety matters.
* Supporting property and FM teams with certifications, service updates, and safety processes.
* Delivering training and guidance on health & safety platforms, ensuring teams get the most from their systems.
* Raising red flags and reporting potential risks to senior management proactively.
* Conducting on-site inspections to ensure full compliance with the Building Safety Act.
* Supporting resident engagement initiatives around building safety and wellbeing.
* Promoting a strong health & safety culture across the organisation.
What We're Looking For
* At least 1 year's experience in a similar role - ideally within PBSA, Build-to-Rent, or residential property.
* Strong understanding of building safety legislation including the Building Safety Act and RRO 2005.
* Knowledge of Building Safety Cases, MOR reporting, and resident engagement requirements.
* Familiarity with safety management systems and contractor management.
* Collaborative, adaptable, and proactive - someone who's confident influencing teams at all levels.
* A real passion for creating safe, compliant, and welcoming environments.
* Full UK driving licence.
Desirable Qualifications
* NEBOSH or IOSH certification (or working towards it).
* Background in facilities management or property compliance.
* Knowledge of ISO standards (18001, 14001, 9001).
* Membership of IOSH, IFE, FPA, IWFM, or similar professional bodies.

This business truly values its people - offering a vibrant, supportive culture and a benefits package designed to celebrate success and support your wellbeing, including:
* 33 days annual leave (including bank holidays)
* Discretionary bonus scheme
* Life insurance (4x salary)
* Health cash plan / private medical insurance
