About the Role
An expanding precision engineering company in Weymouth is looking for a highly skilled CNC Programmer to join its growing team. This is a key role for the business, supporting increased production demand and delivering high-quality precision components across a range of specialist industries.
Key Responsibilities
Programming CNC Milling or Turning centres using Heidenhain or Fanuc controls
Setting and operating machines to produce complex, high-accuracy components
Reading and interpreting detailed engineering drawings and specifications
Ensuring all machined parts meet strict tolerances and quality requirements
Optimising programs for cycle time, tooling efficiency, and repeatability
Performing routine maintenance and resolving technical issues
Collaborating with Quality and Production teams to meet deadlines
Ideal Candidate
You will be a fully skilled CNC Programmer with a solid background in precision engineering and experience working to tight tolerances in a fast-paced environment.
Essential Requirements
Strong CNC Programming experience (Milling or Turning)
Ability to program, set, and operate CNC machinery
Strong technical understanding of engineering drawings
Excellent attention to detail and quality focus
Proactive problem-solving ability
Self-driven with a positive and professional work ethic
Desirable
Experience with Heidenhain (Milling) or Fanuc (Turning/Milling)
Exposure to Aerospace, Defence, Medical, or similar industries
Low to medium batch production experience
Hours
Minimum 39 hours per week:
Monday to Thursday: 8am - 4pm
