Assistant Head Cook, Perth Royal Infirmary, 18-month Fixed Term

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Head Chef on a fixed-term basis for 18 months within the kitchen at Perth Royal Infirmary. We are seeking a chef who can support the Head Chef and be part of the main team. Responsibilities include delivering high-standard catering services to patients, staff, and visitors, while maintaining a clean, safe working environment. Applicants must have knowledge of HACCP, Health & Safety, and COSHH procedures. Experience in large-scale catering at a supervisory level is preferred, along with a good understanding of working procedures, practices, and equipment, supported by experience and professional qualifications. Weekend enhancements are paid.
Current NHS Tayside employees should seek written approval from their line manager before applying for this secondment, and bring it if shortlisted.
You will need to achieve the mandatory Induction standards for Healthcare Support Workers in Scotland and adhere to the Code of Conduct throughout your employment.

Hours of work: 37 hours per week, 5 days from 7
