An opportunity has arisen to join our Maintenance Team within the NHS Central Acute Sector.
You should have completed an appropriate recognised Painter Decorator apprenticeship with qualifications and experience in working within the confines of other trades
The duties involve Be willing to carry out and assist in basic maintenance tasks not specific to painting and decorating when required, e.g tiling, timber treatment, plaster repairs, etc.
Carry out daily tasks and repairs subject to your trade to a high standard as instructed by the Building supervisor
Carry out minor wall repairs such as patch plastering.
Work as part of a team of painters and decorators
You will be required to work with external contractors on projects and minor work installations
A Full Driving Licence is essential.
This post is based at Victoria Hospital, but you are required to work anywhere in the Central Acute Sector.

As from 1/4/26, the Agenda for Change full-time working week will be reducing from 37 to 36 hours per week. Part time hours will be reduced pro-rata. However, there will be a corresponding increase in the hourly rate so that pay will not be affected.
A requirement of this post is to become a member of the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme Prior to appointment.
