Pay Range
Up to £50,000 base pay with a £2,500 sign‑on bonus.
Role Summary
We’re looking for an experienced Fire and Security Engineer in Worcestershire or Birmingham to join our growing team, helping us to make a positive difference to the communities we work in. You’ll carry out servicing, maintenance and small works on fire alarms, CCTV, intruder alarms and access control systems in the Worcestershire & Birmingham area, with a strong focus on building trusted relationships and delivering excellent customer service. This is a mobile role supported by structured scheduling, reliable backup and a company that values professionalism and getting the job done right. Qualifications
* Experience working with addressable and conventional fire alarms.
* Experience of working with intruder alarms, CCTV and access control.
* A proactive, reliable approach with strong fault‑finding skills.
* Good documentation and communication skills.
* Valid UK driving licence.
* Legal right to work in the UK.
* Enhanced DBS clearance (or willingness to obtain).
Desirable Qualifications
* Industry recognised fire and security qualifications (e.g., FIA, City & Guilds).
* 18th Edition or similar electrical qualification.
* Understanding of IP, networking and IoT devices.
Responsibilities
* Service, maintain and carry out small works on fire and security systems.
* Diagnose and rectify faults.
* Respond to call‑outs promptly and efficiently.
* Provide technical support and complete accurate site documentation.
* Ensure compliance with regulations and health and safety.
* Represent Severnside as our frontline contact, delivering excellent customer service.
* Work collaboratively with Service Team Coordinators.
* Participate in the out of hours call‑out rota.
