Job Description
This is a full‑time, permanent position, predominantly working Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:00. We do require flexibility on some occasions.
Responsibilities
* Support the Health and Safety Manager in ensuring that all Health, Safety and Environmental matters are dealt with quickly, efficiently and in line with legislation and best practice.
* Review and create risk assessments and safe systems of work for all tasks carried out within the warehouse.
* Manage and coordinate the monthly internal Health and Safety meeting, ensuring all related stats and KPIs are fully accurate and up to date.
* Champion the Health and Safety function throughout the site and wider network, identifying opportunities to share best practice and discuss common issues or challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
* Previous experience in an operationally focused Health and Safety role, ideally from a food environment, manufacturing, or grocery background.
* Holder of NEBOSH General certification is essential.
* Strong working knowledge of Health, Safety and Environmental legislative framework.
* Ability to establish strong working relationships with stakeholders at all levels along with a results‑driven approach focusing on identifying and sharing best practice.
Salary & Benefits
Up to £34,999.92 per annum, 25 days absolute leave (plus bank holidays).
