As part of this growth, we are seeking Senior or Principal-level Fire Engineers to play a key role and work closely with the newly appointed Director of Fire Engineering.
This is a rare opportunity to help shape a regional fire engineering offering from the ground up — influencing projects, people, and technical direction from day one.
Depending on your level, you will take responsibility for delivering complex fire engineering projects and supporting team development.
You will also be exposed to the development and application of the company’s proprietary fire engineering software, supporting the delivery of innovative, compliant, and efficient design solutions.
Key Responsibilities
* Deliver compliant and complex fire strategies on a variety of projects
* Manage and develop client relationships and project portfolios
* Contribute to the technical development and mentoring of fire engineers
* Support the growth and establishment of the Manchester fire engineering team
* Apply and help develop proprietary and industry-leading fire engineering software tools
* Collaborate with architects, regulators, contractors, and internal technical teams
* Contribute to work-winning, proposals, and strategic growth initiatives
What they’re looking for
* Degree in Fire Engineering, Fire Safety Engineering, or a related discipline
* Experience delivering fire engineering services within a consultancy environment
* Strong technical grounding across performance-based design and compliance
* For Principal / Associate level: experience mentoring staff and supporting team or office growth
* Commercial awareness and ability to manage projects profitably
* Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
