3 months contract with local authority As a Supervisor within Adult Services, you will play a crucial role in planning and overseeing tasks to ensure the successful achievement of your team's business objectives. Your leadership will be vital in appraising and supervising staff to enhance the Council's services continuously. You will ensure compliance with Safeguarding Adults policies and support team members in upholding high professional standards. By promoting a strengths-based model of self-directed support, you will empower service users and carers to find their own solutions. Your role will also involve direct supervision of selected staff, managing their performance, and being financially astute to maintain projects within budgetary limits. You will work autonomously yet remain accountable to your team manager, fostering high standards of practice and service delivery. Collaboration with multidisciplinary teams and contributing to Quality Assurance Frameworks will be essential to your responsibilities. Responsibilities: Plan and monitor tasks to achieve team business objectives. Appraise and supervise staff to drive continuous improvement. Ensure compliance with Safeguarding Adults policies and legislation. Support team members in maintaining high professional standards. Promote a strengths-based model of self-directed support. Supervise selected staff, manage work allocation, and performance. Be financially aware and manage projects within budgetary limits. Develop high standards of practice and ensure service delivery accountability. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in line with integration plans. Work with the Team Manager and Consultant Social Worker on priorities. Operate within a performance management and budgetary framework. Contribute to the development of Quality Assurance Frameworks. Requirements Requirements: Proven experience in a supervisory role within Adult Services. Strong understanding of Safeguarding Adults policies and legislation. Ability to promote and implement a strengths-based support model. Excellent leadership and staff management skills. Financial acumen and budget management experience. Ability to work autonomously and maintain accountability. Experience in multidisciplinary collaboration. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
