The Opportunity
We are representing a Tier 1 UK contractor with a proven track record of delivering complex projects across the residential and mixed-use sectors. They are now seeking a Senior Building Services Manager to join the delivery team on a landmark development in Brighton.
This scheme is a £20M MEP package, part of a £multi-million residential development comprising up to ten mid-spec blocks. With a programme spanning three years, this project offers both long-term stability and the chance to make a lasting impact on a major development for the region.
The Senior BSM will play a pivotal role in leading all aspects of building services delivery, working closely with the project leadership team and ensuring services are fully integrated into the build programme. From pre-construction and design coordination through to procurement, installation, and commissioning, you’ll be at the heart of a high-performing project team.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead and manage all building services works across the scheme
* Coordinate MEP design development, working with consultants and subcontractors to ensure compliance with programme and budget
* Oversee subcontractor performance on site, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance
* Take responsibility for planning, sequencing, and commissioning of all building services
* Collaborate with the wider project leadership team to achieve smooth and timely project delivery
* Act as the key point of contact for client and consultant teams on all services-related matters
* Support handover and close-out, ensuring systems are fully tested, commissioned, and documented
About You
* Proven experience as a Building Services Manager or Senior BSM on major residential or mixed-use schemes
* Strong track record managing high-value MEP packages (£10M+)
* Knowledgeable in all aspects of MEP coordination, installation, and commissioning
* Excellent stakeholder management skills – able to liaise confidently with subcontractors, consultants, and client representatives
* Organised, proactive, and detail-focused with the ability to work under pressure
* Strong commitment to delivering projects safely, to programme, and to the highest standard
