We provide independent construction materials testing to verify strength, durability and performance of key materials; foundations and pile testing to confirm ground stability; specialist structures and pavements assessment and analysis; and integrated geotechnical and structural monitoring that delivers real time data throughout project lifecycles. Laboratory Technician

As SOCOTEC grows, so do our teams. We’re looking for a dedicated Laboratory Technician to join our Infrastructure division and wear the SOCOTEC badge with pride.
Responsibilities
In this role, you’ll need the confidence to test material samples while ensuring compliance with UKAS and quality standards. An interest in laboratory testing is essential to thrive in this position.
The tasks you will undertake will include (but are not limited to):
* Preparing, testing and disposing of soil samples
* Completing test sheets, calculations and reports
* Maintaining equipment calibration and documentation
Qualifications
To be a successful Laboratory Technician, you should be able to demonstrate:
* GCSE or equivalent in English and Maths
* Laboratory testing experience with SHE/quality procedures knowledge
* Strong attention to detail and teamwork ability
* Good penmanship
