As an Occupational Health Advisor, you will support the delivery of proactive and professional occupational health services across Together Housing Group. To work with managers to provide specialist advice and guidance in order to support them to promote a healthy, safe and productive approach to work. To perform health surveillance on key roles within the organisation, in line with professional practice and make appropriate recommendations or referrals to a specialist. To provide occupational health nursing advice to individuals who self-refer. Working alongside the Health, Wellbeing and Reward Advisor to develop and deliver a proactive range of online and onsite health promotion activities and health awareness sessions through the annual wellbeing calendar that promote a proactive culture of wellbeing. To support the work of the Mental Health First Aiders, ensuring they remain qualified, skilled and supported to undertake their role. To provide MHFAs statistics on a quarterly basis Working closely with the Health and Safety team, to develop and advise on risk assessments for all roles as well as wider health related issues. Work on the improvement of working environments and increase health awareness across the Group. To maintain full and comprehensive confidential health records for every employee supported. We are looking for someone who has… A full UK driving license and access to a vehicle Formal qualification, or in the final year of working towards the Specialist Community Public Health Nurse – Occupational Health qualification (Part 3 Nursing and Midwifery Council) Registered General Nursing qualification. Has Occupational Health Nurse/Advisor experience. Experience of modern screening techniques and the ability to interpret results Can demonstrate knowledge and experience of applying health and safety legislation. Experience of managing colleagues in an Occupational Health function.
