Senior Mechanical Design Engineer
Salary: £40,000 – £60,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Our client is expanding into Birmingham and is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to play a key role in this exciting next phase of growth.

Key responsibilities:
* Lead mechanical design delivery from concept through to completion across multiple sectors
* Produce detailed, high-quality HVAC and building services designs using tools such as Revit and IES
* Liaise closely with architects, clients, and other stakeholders to deliver coordinated, efficient design solutions
* Embed sustainability and energy efficiency principles in all design work
* Ensure compliance with current regulations, standards, and best practices
* Mentor and support junior engineers, contributing to the technical growth of the Birmingham office
* Represent the consultancy in client and design team meetings, maintaining strong professional relationships
About you:
* Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services (preferred, not essential)
* Chartered, or actively working towards chartership (CIBSE or equivalent)
* Strong mechanical design experience within a building services consultancy environment
* Proficient in IES, AutoCAD; Revit experience desirable but not essential
* Excellent communicator with strong leadership and collaboration skills
* Passionate about sustainable, low-carbon design and innovative engineering solutions
