To continue providing great products to our customers while maintaining speed and efficiency, we are looking for a Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer.
You will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing site. Your responsibilities will include:
1. Conducting routine inspections and preventive maintenance on production equipment, identifying and resolving potential issues proactively.
2. Responding promptly to machinery breakdowns, diagnosing problems, and performing repairs or coordinating with external specialists when necessary.
3. Carrying out machine adjustments and changeovers to support production efficiency and minimize downtime.
4. Monitoring and calibrating equipment to ensure accuracy, quality, and safety standards are met.
5. Collaborating with production teams to identify process improvement opportunities and providing technical expertise to enhance productivity.
6. Keeping accurate records of maintenance activities, including schedules, repairs, and spare parts inventory.
7. Adhering to health and safety guidelines and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
8. Staying updated with industry advancements and new technologies relevant to the role.

About you
We are looking for someone who:
1. Holds qualifications to NVQ level 3 (or equivalent), such as ONC mechanical/electrical engineering, or BTEC level 3 in mechanical & electrical/electronic engineering.
2. Has strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems used in the FMCG industry.
3. Is proficient in troubleshooting and repairing industrial machinery, including conveyors, motors, pumps, and packaging equipment.
4. Possesses a proactive approach to maintenance and a commitment to ensuring high equipment reliability.
5. Has a good understanding of HACCP principles; IEE qualification up to 17th edition wiring regulations would be advantageous.
6. Possesses excellent communication skills.
7. Is assertive with the ability to make decisions quickly.
8. Has a positive 'can-do' attitude and a strong work ethic.
