We are looking to recruit an innovative pharmacy technician to provide leadership, development and management to our expanding General Practice Pharmacy Technician and pharmacy support staff team in Tayside. The General Practice Pharmacy Technician/Senior Pharmacy Technician role involves working alongside clinical pharmacists and pharmacy support staff in a range of environments including GP practices, care homes, community hospitals and patients' own homes with an emphasis on high‑quality patient‑centred pharmaceutical care.
The postholder will work alongside the Specialist Pharmacy Technician and contribute to the delivery of the General Practice Clinical Pharmacy Service to achieve high‑quality patient care.
Key Roles
* Manage operational development to meet patient needs in designated area
* Ensure delivery of an accurate, efficient, and high‑quality General Practice Clinical Pharmacy Service delivery
* Participate in audits and implement national, regional, and departmental recommendations
* Develop and ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures for efficient service
* Identify staff development needs, ensure competency, and provide work‑based training

* The ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
* Effective communication and interpersonal skills in complex or challenging situations
* The ability to establish and maintain relationships with a range of other professionals

* Experience of audit, review and service improvement work
* Experience in delivering training sessions to a variety of staff groups
Hours of work are 36 hours over 7 days. Part‑time applicants will be considered.
